Distributor unites a range of power device providers and expert technical know-how in Nuremberg

Avnet Silica has provided details of its participation at the power electronics exhibition, PCIM Europe, taking place between May 6th - 8th, 2025 in Nuremberg, Germany.

At the show, the distributor will highlight its power expertise as well as offering practical demonstrations of the latest technologies across three key areas – wide-bandgap, silicon, and Ecosystem Partners.

"Adapting to the rapid advancements within the electronics industry, particularly within the power sector, remains a formidable yet vital challenge. Events such as PCIM continue to offer an unparalleled platform to explore the latest technologies and engage with fellow professionals," said Thomas Hauer, technology specialist manager for power at Avnet Silica.

Visitors can expect to find the following demos:

Wide-bandgap technology

- STMicroelectronics’ 11kW bidirectional battery charger, with capability for bidirectional DC wallbox functionality and smart energy management

- Onsemi’s 1kW LED Lighting board, achieving over 95 percent efficiency for optimal performance

- Navitas' 4kW Server SMPS, demonstrating high power density

- Renesas’ latest GaN advancements

Silicon technology

Onsemi’s 300kW eCAV Inverter demo, based on its advanced FS7 technology

Diodes’ Power Tree demo, highlighting the performance of its Si DCDC portfolio alongside an IntelliFET application

Nexperia’s LV Mosfet and IGBT Demo, including insights into wafer technology and potential motor control applications

Ecosystem partners

Cirtem's 6KvA DC-AC Inverter and 150 kW Electrical Motor Controller

Ideas in Motion's Motor Inverter

Salom's AC/DC Small Watt Power solutions

Visitors will also be able to view Onsemi’s EliteSiC Simulator and get a glimpse into advanced power design and analysis tools at the stand. Additional solutions on display include products courtesy of Diodes, Microchip Technology, Monolithic Power Systems, PANJIT, and ROHM Semiconductor.
