API Wins High Power Amplifier Order from U.S. DoD
API Technologies Corp a provider of high performance RF/microwave, power, and security solutions for critical and high-reliability applications has announced it has received a new order to supply high-power amplifier systems as part of a DoD maritime requirement.
This initial order is part of a multi-million dollar program with first production delivery set for May 2015 and follows API's announcement of its expanded power amplifier product line made at the IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium last month.
Bel Lazar, president and chief executive officer, API Technologies said, "By utilizing innovative semiconductor technologies such as GaN, along with building block design approaches, we are able to provide state-of-the-art performance and flexibility to accommodate rapid new product development. Furthermore, API's power amplifier designs generate increased power density and complexity while reducing overall size. The result is smaller, lighter, and more efficient solutions in a variety of packaging designs."
