Imergy Power Systems Further Expands Patent Portfolio

Imergy Power Systems, a pioneer in advanced energy storage systems, has announced  that it has been granted another U.S. patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office recognizing the company's power electronics design capability. This represents Imergy's 6th U.S. patent issued or allowed within the past 12 months.

The new patent, entitled Bi-Directional Buck-Boost Circuit, covers high power DC-DC convertors used in all of Imergy's Energy Storage Platform products.
Imergy's patent portfolio covers critical innovations in the areas of chemistry and chemical processes, materials and stack components, instruments and sensors, and system engineering and controls.

Leveraging these patented inventions, Imergy is creating ground breaking systems for storing and sharing power. Our energy storage systems allow users to scale up power and storage capacity independently of one another, making it far more flexible and cost-effective than any other battery available. Providing innovation and value to the telecommunications, micro grid, power generation and energy management markets, Imergy delivers an inexpensive solution to reduce energy costs, store power more efficiently, and fully unlock the potential of renewable energy sources -- all in an energy storage system that dramatically reduces the physical dangers and environmental toxicity inherent in other batteries.

"Imergy has pioneered a radically more affordable and scalable technology to meet today's growing demand for safe, reliable, high performance energy storage systems for stationary applications," said Dr. Majid Keshavarz, Imergy's Chief Technical Officer. "This patent demonstrates our company's commitment to advancing the state of the art in energy storage, and reflects Imergy's technical vision and leadership in presenting value and innovation to our customers."
