Schneider selected for largest solar leasing tender in Singapore

Schneider Electric Solar Business, a global supplier of solutions for the solar industry, has announced that they have been selected by Sunseap Group Pte Ltd, the largest clean energy provider in Singapore, as one of its major solar inverter suppliers for a solar leasing tender.

The Housing & Development Board (HDB) of Singapore recently awarded its largest solar leasing tender to date to Sunseap Group Pte Ltd. The HDB awarded the tender of 38 megawatts at optimum conditions, or 38 megawatts-peak (MWp). Under the tender, solar photovoltaic (PV) systems will be installed at approximately 680 HDB residential blocks in four towns "“ Jurong East, Marine Parade, Sembawang, and Tampines.

The same systems will also be installed at three HDB-owned commercial and industrial properties covered under the tender: Woodlands Civic Centre, Eastlink Industrial Building, and HDB Hub in Toa Payoh.

"We have selected Schneider Electric for this tender because of their Conext CL 25 Optimum+ inverter, which provides ease of installation and a reduction in the balance of system (BOS) costs as a result of the inverter's integrated wiring box," said Shawn Tan, Senior Business Development Manager at Sunseap. "In addition, Schneider Electric's reputation of providing quality and reliable products, along with their bankability, made them an easy choice as one of the major inverter suppliers for this tender."
