Alectris and Alencon Announce Alliance to Repower Aging Solar PV Plants

News

Alectris, a global solar asset care innovation firm, and Alencon Systems, a U.S. based technology firm increasing energy production for utility-scale solar farms, today announced a strategic alliance to repower aging solar PV plants. Alectris will offer Alencon's DC-DC Optimizer, the SPOT (String Power Optimizer and Transmitter), as a solution for retrofitting solar PV plants around the world, including Europe and Asia.

Alectris is an operations, maintenance and management third party provider with offices in Europe, the United States, the Middle East and Asia. Innovation shaping services, software and retrofit technologies has driven the company's growth, including the 2013 introduction of ACTIS, the world's first Solar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software platform and the launch of its retrofit technologies group in 2015.

Alectris will add Alencon's SPOT to its roster of efficiency enhancing PV solutions as a result of the unique performance improvements the product can offer to existing PV plants. Additionally, the Alectris network of skilled solar engineers will be responsible for the installation of SPOT in markets ranging from Europe to Asia.

"SPOT is a distinct opportunity to improve energy production while lowering O&M costs for existing solar PV plants," states Vassilis Papaeconomou, Managing Director of Alectris. "Alencon demonstrates a consistent track record of innovation that aligns with our strategy of offering plant owners and investors the most cutting edge optimization technologies on the market."

"It is a distinct privilege to partner with Alectris, a true leader of O&M practices and PV plant optimization," states Alencon Systems President Hanan Fishman.

"Partnering with their team of skilled PV engineers assures PV plant owners the world over that they can continue to generate an optimal amount of power while continuing to operate their aging PV fleets as efficiently as possible."

Solar Power International 2017

Interested parties can talk with Alectris and Alencon Systems personnel at the upcoming Solar Power International event, September 10 "“ 13th, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
