News

Distributor unites power device providers with technical knowhow at Nuremberg show

At PCIM Europe, (June 11th - 13th, 2024 in Nuremberg, Germany), distributor Avnet Silica will be exhibiting the newest power solutions from suppliers such as Onsemi, ST, Renesas, Navitas, Nexperia, Diodes Inc., and Monolithic Power Systems.

Highlighting use cases of power devices and solutions provided by Avnet Silica, customers such as DG Innovate, Flux Performance, Salom Power, and Monet will present their products at the distributor’s stand. Exhibits will include Flux Performance’s electric motocross bike prototype, DG Innovate’s 72-SiC-MOSFET truck axle, and live mobile phone charging courtesy of Salom Power.

There will also demonstrations from Avnet Silica’s suppliers. These include: ST’s 7kW bidirectional AC/DC converter, suitable for equipment such as forklifts, trucks, cars, and even robots; Onsemi’s SiC 25kW fast EV charging platform, offering bidirectional power transmission; Renesas’ 300kW motor inverter with digital control; Navitas’ GaN power supply boards for consumer and industrial applications; Nexperia’s 48V motor control board, designed for controlling small-sized industrial motors such as robots and cobots; and Diodes’ SiC power module table inlay, capable of servicing automotive applications using a 400V architecture.

“Keeping up with the ever-evolving electronics industry – especially in the power sector – is challenging but shows like PCIM provide a fantastic opportunity to explore the latest technologies and network with industry peers,” said Thomas Hauer, technology specialist manager power, Avnet Silica.
