Infineon announces next gen 200V MOSFETs
OptiMOS 6 devices enhance power density and efficiency for e-scooters, micro-EVs, and E-forklifts
Infineon has launched a new 200V MOSFET product family called OptiMOS 6, designed for e-scooters, micro-EVs, and E-forklifts.
The improved conduction losses and switching behaviour for these new MOSFETs is said to reduce EMI and switching losses. Additionally, the combination of a wide safe operating area (SOA) and low R DS(on) makes it suitable for static switching applications such as battery management systems.
Compared to its predecessor, the OptiMOS 3, the new family features a 42 percent lower R DS(on) that contributes to reduced conduction losses and increased output power. Regarding diode behaviour, the OptiMOS 6 200 V is said to provide a significant increase in softness, more than three times that of the OptiMOS 3.
The OptiMOS 6 200 V products are available in various packages including the PQFN 3.3.x3.3, SuperSO8 5x6, TOLL, TO-220, D 2PAK-7P, as well as the D 2PAK-3P.
