Rugged UPS Portable Power Technology Bolsters Port and Maritime Security

News

Acumentrics has announced its inclusion as one of a select few contractors that will demonstrate innovative technologies at the annual Advanced Naval Training Exercises Coastal Trident 22 (ANTX-CT22) FATHOMWERX Summit, scheduled for September 14-15 in Port Hueneme, CA. Participating branches of the military whittle the list from hundreds of applicants to a handful of companies whose equipment or technology will be field tested to determine its suitability for operational utilization.

Acumentrics specializes in the design and manufacturing of rugged uninterruptible power supply systems, power conditioning systems, as well as power distribution units, to provide mission critical power solutions capable of withstanding extreme environments and harsh conditions within demanding military and commercial applications.

“These field exercises supply the ideal opportunity to display how well our power solutions perform under challenging conditions,” said Justin Genest, Technical Account Manager at Acumentrics and veteran of both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force Reserve. “An unrelenting environment needs an equally relentless and reliable power supply to keep critical equipment and communications operational. That’s what we can provide, to ensure our armed services remain the best equipped in the world.”

Acumentrics won this coveted opportunity based on its technologies’ performance tested during previous exercises with the Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, N.C., in 2021. The company’s power systems ranked within the top three of products tested, helping secure a slot for the company in the ANTX-CT22 demonstrations this year.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center’s Port Hueneme Division’s ANTX-Coastal Trident 2022 is conducted to identify and implement leading edge capabilities that can help counter threats to port and maritime security, and to sustain the global operations of naval forces. Findings from this FATHOMWERX Summit will also serve stakeholders in military, homeland security and emergency response capabilities in the port and maritime domains.

“The cutting-edge technologies showcased in this event and adopted into military use, will find their way into commercial applications,” said Kevin Johnson, Business Development Manager for Military Programs, Acumentrics. “This is where the future of our security and our national infrastructure is born. In particular, the technological advances tested in these naval exercises can be adapted for critical port and maritime operations in the commercial sector, such as transportation and shipping. Our national security isn’t restricted to military operations alone.”
