Powerful iX7059 Heavy Duty Inspection System from Viscom wins NPI Award
Winner of the NPI Award 2021 in the “Equipment; Test and Inspection – AXI” category: the iX7059 Heavy Duty Inspection inline X-ray system from Viscom
Viscom’s new iX7059 Heavy Duty Inspection X-ray system has won the New Product Introduction (NPI) Award 2021 in the “Equipment; Test and Inspection – AXI” category. The winners of the award were officially announced online due to the current situation caused by the pandemic.
The key strength of the iX7059 Heavy Duty Inspection is that it provides fully automated inline X-ray inspection for heavy, solid and enclosed components. This makes the system especially suitable for inspecting the quality of power electronics components in the fields of electromobility, telecommunications and renewable energies. “Our customers use the iX7059 Heavy Duty Inspection to inspect large assemblies such as those found in high-voltage applications in the e-mobility sector or finished devices including all-in-one computers,” says Carsten Salewski, Member of the Executive Board Sales, Marketing and International Business at Viscom.
The iX7059 Heavy Duty Inspection X-ray system is part of Viscom’s new iX7059 series. Each of the inspection systems in this product range was developed for various areas of application and offers fast, fully automated inline X-ray inspection in 2D, 2.5D and 3D for a wide range of products such as large flat assemblies, semiconductor modules, batteries, mobile communication devices and exceptionally heavy assemblies on workpiece carriers. The iX7059 Heavy Duty Inspection inspects objects with dimensions of up to 500 mm x 500 mm and a weight of up to 40 kg.
Organized by CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY, the NPI Awards are presented once a year, and this isn’t the first time that Viscom was proud to have been named as one of the winners. Viscom’s S3088 DT 3D AOI system with dual-track transport took home an NPI Award in the “Equipment; Test and Inspection – AOI” category in 2020, for example.
