Delta Electronics to bring 350kW fast charging to India by May 2019

Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. subsidiary Delta Electronics India Pvt. Ltd, has announced widespread adoption of its Electric Vehicle Charging Solutions in the country.

Fueled by the government’s focus on driving energy efficiency in the automobile market, Delta Electronics has associated with several prominent customers in this space like Maharashtra Mantralaya, EESL, NTPC, PowerGrid Cooperation Delhi, SDMC Office, Gujarat Bhavan Delhi, Ministry of Health amongst several others.

With a vision to power green mobility in India, Delta is strengthening its manufacturing capabilities to offer EV DC Chargers of up to 150kW by end of 2018 and of up to 350kW by mid of 2019, which will adhere to all local and international standards like CCS, CHAdeMO & GB/T. The company’s manufacturing facility in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand supports its EV charging division.

As its short-term plan, Delta is focusing on creating a strong base with partners to expand its reach over the pan-India market. With the support of its R&D & technical teams, Delta looks forward to providing EV charging products tailored to the Indian market.

Earlier this year, Delta launched Mumbai’s first DC Fast-Charger station at Maharashtra Mantralaya. This was a monumental step towards supporting the Government of India’s mission to drive electric mobility in the country. Delta’s DC Fast Charger station at Mantralaya has a capacity of 15kW developed on the Bharat EV specifications standard.

Delta’s recent partnership with EV Motors, to begin installing the electric vehicle start-up’s public charging stations ‘PlugNGo’, demonstrates Delta’s excellent product profile and wide industry acceptance.

Delta has established an E-Mobility Tech-Lab at its Gurugram premises with an aim to create indigenous technology capabilities. It has also set up a platform to test charger compatibility with various EV models and achieve product quality compliance. The E-Mobility Tech-Lab comprises AC and DC EV chargers, Electric Vehicles, OCA Certified Testing Tools, Charging Process Simulators, Load Simulators and a Charge Point Operator software platform.
